Students should aim to complete 20-45 minutes of math work daily. Each day can follow a routine like we would in the classroom (below), or you can make up whatever routine works best for you. Math work can be submitted by scanning or taking a picture and submitting through Google Classroom or by emailing me at [email protected]

Each week of the Daily Math will have students working on the 5 stands of math. If there are non-school days (ie. holidays) they should still try to complete those days when they have extra time to ensure they are practicing all types of math each week.

Use a new page for each day of the week and take a picture each day or at the end of the week of the week of all your work. You can submit these assignments through Google Classroom, or email them to me at [email protected]. Use the number of the day guide with example, the template, and/or the fillable document when completing the number of the day.
Tuesday: Number of the day: 5632 Task: Gather together 15 items in your home. Write as many division questions as you can think of with these objects. Divide them between everyone in your house, or between the kids, the adults, etc. Get Creative! Worksheet: Time 1
Wednesday: Number of the day: 9219 Task: Search your home for circles and spheres. How many can you find? What are some examples of items that are these shapes? Worksheet: Patterns 1
Thursday: Number of the day: 7734 Task: Search your home for items that are approximately 1cm long or wide (about the width of your finger). How many did you find? List some of the items you found. Worksheet: Estimating 1
Friday: Number of the day: 1829 Task: Survey the people in your house, or people you can contact and ask them about their favourite ice cream flavour. Make a graph to show your results. Worksheet: Money Counting 1
