Students should aim to complete 20-45 minutes of math work daily. Each day can follow a routine like we would in the classroom (below), or you can make up whatever routine works best for you. Math work can be submitted by scanning or taking a picture and submitting through Google Classroom or by emailing me at [email protected]

Each week of the Daily Math will have students working on the 5 stands of math. If there are non-school days (ie. holidays) they should still try to complete those days when they have extra time to ensure they are practicing all types of math each week.

Use a new page for each day of the week and take a picture each day or at the end of the week of the week of all your work. You can submit these assignments through Google Classroom, or email them to me at [email protected]. Use the number of the day guide with example, the template, and/or the fillable document when completing the number of the day.
Monday: Number of the day: 7462 Task: Pretend you own a flower shop. Make a list (including pictures) of the flowers you sell. How much does each flower cost? Ask a family member to buy some flowers from your shop and add up the total cost of their flowers. Worksheet: Algebra Word Problems 1

Wednesday: Number of the day: 1849 Task: Search your home for rectangles and rectangular prisms, I bet you’ll find lots! Count how many you find and write down what some of the items are. Worksheet: Estimating Sums and Differences 2
Thursday: Number of the day: 3884 Task: Pick a secret number. Have a family member try to guess your number, and for each guess you respond with "higher" or "lower". yen they guess the right number, switch places! Worksheet: Elapsed Time 1
Friday: Number of the day: 9275 Task: When might you need to add or multiply numbers together when you are doing things at home? Write a math problem about this and show how you solved it. Worksheet: Probability Spinner 1
